u know, this isnt even a "hot take" i really think that the norm isnt being an intellectual in this country, maybe its not even being an anti-intellectual, its, indifference to the truth, which is way worse. my mom watches pakistani tv, u cant be saying u know, false things on tv there esp that mislead ppl, that is still a society where being an intellectual person is REWARDED and REVERED and also ADMIRED, its not here anymore that much, a lot has changed in the past decade, u can generally say whatever u want on CNN/FOX NEWS and its fine, its crazy. i think, being under protest, questioning everything, having ur own little world that doesnt let that madness into it is a very good thing. how do u have good and deep relationships with ppl/family if u dont care about the truth & what's right, u know.

the world of using LLMs/AI and yt premium to learn w/e i want, 24/7 unbiased office hours to learn math and more cs, that's a very serious gold mine, i wanted this my entire life. i decided, half-way and after my final for calc 3, that from now on, my life, my biggest priority in my life, for the first time EVER, is just going to be my mental health, bc of how much it never has been. im going to get a second phone that's android, build it around important/useful things and useful notifications -- fk commercial software, its time to go back to linux next yr too.
